Barrow Shield U15 Competition

BTCC

The Barrow Shield U15 was initiated in season 2007 with the intention of extending the season for the U15 age group. Four clubs took part in the inaugural competition, Barrow Town, Kegworth, Loughborough Carillon and Ansty and Glenfield. Some excellent cricket was played by all the clubs and the final between Barrow Town and Ansty and Glenfield produced an exciting game with Ansty and Glenfield deservedly winning the trophy after a fine all round perfromance with bat and ball. The competition will be taking place again this season starting in late July and ending with the final on Sunday September 7th 2008 at Barrow Town CC. For the 2008 season we welcome Queniborough CC to the competition. Provisional fixtures are listed below. Clubs can play the games on mutually acceptable dates and in a format to suit conditions and availability e.g. 8 aside through to 13 aside, as the competition is designed to give youngsters a chance to play more cricket but recognises that evenings draw inand holidays do happen! The club wishes everyone the best of luck for 2008 and looks forward to some good cricket being played.
